EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND MOTIVATION

While my academic background is in International Sports, Management & Business, my curiosity has always extended beyond those areas. A career in sports never truly sat right with me, so I took a few months exploring different possibilities.

 

I’ve always been curious about the workings of the human mind, so it became natural for me to explore topics such as psychology, digital marketing, and design. Over time, I discovered that software development brings together many of these interests — it’s analytical, creative, and deeply human-centred.

 

I decided to learn how to code by signing up to a 10-week coding bootcamp, setting the foundations for a career in tech.

 

Since 2023, I’ve been working as a full-stack developer in consulting agencies, contributing to a range of client projects across different industries. A lot of learning, patience and support was needed, but the challenges was well worth it. 

 

Nowadays, I’m part of an “Agile” team—designers, product managers, and fellow developers—to help design and implement features for web applications.  My focus is on contributing to existing codebases, enhancing functionality, and supporting project delivery within tight timelines. 

 

Looking back, I feel fortunate to have found a profession that utilises my interests and skills while being part of an enjoyable team environment. If you’re considering a career switch into tech, I’d be happy to share more about my journey and what helped me navigate it.
